Caterham

Caterham is a British car manufacturer founded in 1959 by Graham Nearn. It has been owned by VT Holding since March 2021, which was its importer in Japan.

Caterham Cars Service was founded in 1959 by Graham Nearn. In 1948, the engineer Colin Chapman had built a racing car that he had named "Lotus". In 1957, after various competition models, he proposed the Seven, a sports car adapted for road use with an aluminum body.

Its history is closely linked to that of the Lotus brand and its famous model the Lotus Super Seven built on a tubular steel chassis covered with aluminum panels and based on the original Lotus Seven of Colin Chapman.
