Porsche

Porsche is a German sports car manufacturer founded in 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche, which was later taken over by his son Ferry Porsche. Ferdinand Porsche is the engineer who created Volkswagen. Porsche's main factories are located in Leipzig and Zuffenhausen, Germany. In 2009, Porsche became the tenth brand to become part of the Volkswagen AG group. In 2019, its worldwide sales reached more than 280,000 vehicles, up from 2018.

Porsche's first automobile is the Lohner-Porsche, a hybrid vehicle developed at the beginning of the 20th century by Ferdinand Porsche, which caused a sensation when it was presented at the Paris World Exhibition in 1900. The second Porsche model was the 64, available in 1939. In 1933, Ferdinand Porsche developed a democratic car model at Hitler's request, marketed in 1938 as the Volkswagen, or 'people's car' in German. The third Porsche model is the 356 of 1948, which is a modified Volkswagen built in Gmünd, Austria. After Ferdinand Porsche's death, his son Ferry Porsche took over the reins of the company and the last 356s were released with a Porsche-designed flat-four cylinder.
