This 8mm thick thermal spacer made of woven Bakelite (phenolic laminate) is perfectly flat and comes with two 0.5mm thick paper gaskets. (Thicker gaskets available upon request.)

It was used on the famous 602cc flat-twin Citroën Ami6 engine, and eventually on the entire range of 2CV derivatives: Méhari, Dyanes, Acadianes, Ami6, early Ami8s, and even Visas, with or without a centrifugal clutch idle brake (CSIC).

It thermally insulates the carburetor body from the heat of the manifold, preventing the vaporlock effect during hot starts caused by fuel boiling in the carburetor bowl.
