This 5 mm thick thermal spacer made of woven Bakelite (phenolic laminate) is perfectly flat. It comes with two 0.5 mm thick paper gaskets. (Thicker gaskets available upon request.)

Perfectly suited to vehicles built with a SOLEX 32 PBIC carburetor. This carburetor is typical of French 1.5L to 2.0L 4-cylinder engines from the 1930s to the 1950s.

It was used on the Traction Avant, Simca 8, and Porsche 356 A.

This spacer thermally insulates the carburetor body from the heat of the manifold, preventing the vaporlock effect during hot starts caused by fuel boiling in the carburetor bowl.
